Traktor Pro upgrades always cost something, but you save money because you can go without hardware or certified equipment in general. Entry-level models are now available from about 70 euros ( Numark DJ2GO2), but only with the slimmed-down Serato Intro version. Serato DJ also requires certified audio hardware.
